About the project

Why Kin Tree existsFamily stories fade when the people who remember them are gone. Kin Tree was created so families can record their people, relationships, places and memories together — across households and generations — without handing their history to a company. Media is never copied to Kin Tree's servers: each member's photos, videos and documents live in a folder in their own Google Drive and are shared read-only with family collaborators. If you ever leave, you can hand your media to another family member — or simply keep it; it was always in your Drive.Kin Tree requires JavaScript.
